seedometer and odometer problems for 1997 Chevy Cavilier

Speedometer and odometer stopped working for my 1997 Chevy Cavilier. It does have 210,000 miles on it. Have replaced the speed sensor, didn't work. Put a new gauge cluster in but stilll doesn't work. Was there a something I had to do to let the computer accept any of these changes?

I have run into this problem before...
I found it was the gauge cluster because I plugged a computer into the car and was able to read the speed of the car by driving with the computer connected. This meant the sensor was good. I had access to a computer so this was a convenient way for me to find out.
When I put the gauge cluster in it did not work. The problem was that I bought the cluster from a junkyard and it was also broken! so be aware of that. I bought a second and it worked great.
Also make sure you have the same cluster that was in the car before....same gauges and such.
