I replaced the ac compressor belt and then put the serpentine belt on and now i have a screaching noise.Did I do something wrong?
2000 chevy sliverado 1500 5.3 engine

Was the smaller compressor belt missing first?
Don't run A/C and watch if compressor can just freewheel or take belts off and check it by hand where belt turns it and again by outer plate which may be seized either hydo-locked or compressor shot.
I've head of oil collecting too much if it was inoperable for a long time locking them and just a chance now if so that it could work out. If you also messed with the refrigerant charge somehow at the same time that would be a factor too. None sound good,
