Remove the a/f guage and see if the problem clears up. Powertrain modules don't like to be modified. The O2 sensor signal is extremely low voltage to begin with, if the guage interacts with this signal all kinds of problems can result (voltage induction). Mainly, if the car was running ok before the guage install, that should send up a red flag as to where the problem may be originating from.
