Look around and smell for fuel odor and anything unhooked or rusted out that would carry fuel vapor - metal lines even if rusty be a problem. First thing you should try is unplugging the canister purge valve electrical connector and the line that goes to the charcoal canister. With the engine running you shouldn't have any vacuum on the purge valve nipple you disconnected the line from. If you do, the valve is faulty. Note: when you disconnect the electrical connector there will probably be a purge valve circuit code that will trigger.
