no power at first [urgent] Sign In

hey guys this is a urgent matter, ive recently discovered that my car is playing up, when i accelerate i get no power at first then it all of a sudden kicks in.

now i have a pod filter and the pipe its connected too is coming out of the connection so theres a small 5cm gap between the top of the connection and the top of the pipe (picture will be taken if asked to post) but not to sure this would cause it as the pod filter is never turned on

Year, make, model, and engine size? If the check engine light is on, what are the trouble code number(s) it is storing?

I don't know how it works in Brisbane, but in the US we answer questions asked by the people trying to help us, not post their own questions back up. Its not possible to give you good advice without our questions answered.

Not sure what you mean by pod filter, but if there is a gap, you need to fix that. If the gap is after the MAF sensor, un metered air is getting into the engine and will make the PCM run the engine lean. Plus you don't want unfiltered air getting into the engine and destroying it.

the pod filter is just a modification to the engine, it basically just makes the car more fuel economic, but its only when the pod filter is turned on otherwise the pipe is close before air gets to the engine, where the split is, is at the other end of the pipe so no air will be getting into the engine that could cause this, the pod filter is never turned on to affect this

Can you take a picture of this pod filter thing? I have never heard of a filter that you turn on and off.
