96 ford probe 2.0 dohc automatic 150xxx
96 motor had a hole in the block put a 95 motor in it. same 2.0. had to switch a few sensors crankshaft sensor mount (witch is 100% correct) and distributor. Ecu reads fine no codes. New coil good resistance, also the one in the distributor. power coming in and out of the wiring harness plug to the coil but no fire out of the top to the distributor. car turns over great. No security system that i know of, timing is correct, tried both distributors, wiring is solid new relays, everything works fine as far as instrument cluster.....anybody have anything new?

EGR vacuum lines and canisters are also correct. Ive spent several days checking everything over that i could think of

These engines are not interchangeable. The 96 uses a completely different Crankshaft so the crank sensor can read off it. The 95 does not have that.

I switched the harmonic balancer and timing gear on it

I still don't think it will work.The crank is different. Won't be keyed the same.

but if its still plugged up wouldn't i at least get a misfired spark off the coil?

Maybe not if it's not synched with the cam sensor. There could be other issues with it too. They are 2 entirely different systems.

do not have a plug in test light for it, but i'll pick one up in the morning and let you know how it goes. That would pulse bout the same time as the cam sensor wouldn't it. Should let me know if its good or not, or if i'am getting anything....guess a test light would work
