Transmission has given zero problems but has never been serviced. Fluid has a color more brown than the purple/red of new fluid. Advice from trusted friend was to let it ride because new fluid may do more harm than good at this point. Something about cutting varnish from clutches and leading to "slipping". I have heard this from trans that have begun to slip, then new fluid seemed to speed up the failure. What is fact or fiction? Some advice pls.
