Iam trying tofigure out why my 89k5 blazer wont start. I have tried spark plugs and cheked the coil, idid try jumping it with another car still nothing .

Need to know more to help you. Do you have spark? Will it at least try with squirt of starting fluid which would lead to a fuel problem. Not impossible but a broken timing chain and a million things can do this. Kind of low miles for this with a real chain - a belt would be a different story.
What engine do have or any other history that might help? T

I 350 5.7 throttle body I have tried starter fluid still nothing.I stoped for a light when i steped down on the gas it cough and was cutting out, i went 2 blocks when it died

Like what Tom asked is there spark getting to the spark plugs. If you’re not sure of how to test just ask.
Can you hear the fuel pump cycling on when you turn the ignition on?
If so can you see fuel spraying from the fuel injectors while you’re cranking the engine?
If you can try and answer these questions, we may have a few suggestions as to what to do next.

You still need to verify spark or not. Don't overdo trying as a flooded engine will just complicate where we need to go next. I can't remember what year things changed but if you have the HEI distributor there is a black box in there the name of which escapes me that can do what you have described. I keep a spare known good one in my trunk as they were common. Easy fix if so.
Again - it would be most helpful to know for sure if this a fuel or spark problem. I would bet right now it's spark troubles as new plugs would normally overcome being flooded out but not always. See what you can find, T

I do not have spark coming from the coil. Yes i can hear the fuel pump cycling on. It is getting fuel. I need to get spark frist to go to the disbutitor

Sounds like you have ruled out the fuel. If you hear it pressure up and quit it's probably fine.
Next: If this is the HEI distributor (High Energy Ignition) the coil is in the distributor cap. Should have two wires going to it - I think orange and brown. With key in run position the orange wire should have power to it which can be tested with it unplugged. The other is used for a tachometer. If they changed to a separate coil it should be marked with a + and - (or maybe bat and dist) and it should have power to it. If no power we need to figure out why not. Keep at it, T

the coil is outside the distributor on that model , there was spark on the wire coming from the key when in the on position there are two plugs on the coil one from key other I don't know where it comes or goes checked all fuses and they are good

If you get power to the coil the other side should go to the distributor. The neg, - , dist. or whatever it says should blink a 12V test light while cranking The little wires NOT the coil wire to distributor.- DON'T flood the engine! A turn or two is plenty. My guess here is a bad coil, bad part in distributor or a burned up wire. T

This isn’t for sure and without going through a bunch of tests; throw an ignition module at the truck, they’re not very expensive and they seem to be the weak link in the ignition system.
You’ll find it under the distributor cap and is held down by two screws. A word of warning the plastic wire connectors that connect to the module become very brittle and usually break to bits when you touch them. It’s not a big deal just don’t mix up the wires and plug them on individually.
If you are going to try this, make sure you coat the bottom of the new module with a little dielectric grease. They usually give you a small package of it with the module; it’s to help with heat transfer. There are other things that can cause the no spark, like the pick-up coil or like what Tom said the ignition coil but I’ve changed more modules then either of them.
