lost keys ford focus

so we have lost both keys to a 2002 ford focus. the car is parked. we need to tow the car 30 miles to the dealership to get keys cut and programmed. the towing bill alone is going to be 200. (+) but if we could hotwire the car and drive it it would be much easier or hotwire it to unlock the steering???? we could possibly tow it ourselves by a dolly or flat bed. so how do you hotwire or unlock the steering without a key?????

You can get a key cut by removing the door lock but that will not start the car until the keys are programmed but it will unlock the steering wheel. You cannot hot wire the car.

No, they can make a mechanical key that will physically unlock the lock but the engine will not start until they program the key to the car.

Have you checked with a locksmith to see if they have the ability to come to you and do the programming? Some do.
