My 1999 Kia Sephia dash lights keep going off. I can tap the dimmer switch and the come back on sometimes. Now it is getting difficult to do that. How do I access the dimmer switch area to see if there is a short or loose connection?

The first step is to remove the instrument cluster trim.
Next, press switch mounting tabs while pushing on switch until tabs clear trim.
Next, remove switch from trim.
To install, reverse procedure. This is straight out of the shop manual.
