Sign In I have a 2004 Ford Focus 4-door. The rubber weatherstripping has fallen off the bottom of 2 doors. I emailed Ford to see if this was important and they simply said "take it to a dealer". There is no Ford dealer in my town. So - is this stuff really necessary? Is it for noise reduction, water stoppage when driving through puddles, or what?
