Is running great. Heater will not cooperate. Both hoses hot to core, just not getting the vacuum to the interior. Gray hose from throttle body base to the wiring harness goes around the back of brake booster and is included in the wiring harness is what I mean, goes to the cabin. I need a vacuum schematic of the vacuum lines for the heat-a/c. Took the line off the throttle body and put a vacuum plug on, smoothed the engine out dramatically. Tells me open vacuum line to cabin. Did I splain myself right?

That's because the temp actuator is is electric, not vacuum.

OK, the mode switch that chooses between a/c and heat has all vacuum lines behind it. The temp control has vacuum hoses and electric for the rheostat far as I can tell.

No, Mode control is vacuum. That is air direction only. The temp blend door is electric.
Temperature Actuator Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
- Remove the instrument panel compartment.
- Disconnect the harness connector.
- Remove the two screws and the actuator.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
- Position the actuator and install the screws.
- Connect the harness connector.
- Install the instrument panel compartment.

Probably neither. You should be able to access it from under the dash on the p#$$enger side.
I don't know what is going on with the site. I typed that word correctly and that's what came out "passenger"

I wish I could of been watching the game. I got to play carpenter today with my Uncle. My Grandfather passed away awhile back and left the house to his three kids. The drywall in the garage was coming down. Found out that there was some major termite damage. The termites had been exterminated when he was alive, but they had gotten up in to the trusses and ate the studs out in a seven foot section of wall between the garage and living room.
My Uncle decided to tackle the job of replacing the wood with me helping him. I don't know Sh!t about carpentry besides hammering nails in and cutting pieces of wood. He decided to lag bolt 2x6 to the eaten up pieces of truss, but didn't bring them out past the plates. I didn't say anything, but it doesn't look right to me. We built a new wall which turned out really nice though.
I noticed a mirror by the sink in the garage that looked like the frame was rotted. Took the mirror off and termites had eaten the paper off the back, so that means they had gotten into the back wall of the garage too. I personally think it is too much for us to tackle. My Uncle told me not to say anything to my Mom or Aunt. I thought, bullSh!t, so I told them anyway and recommended to have a professional come out and assess the damage. I think it is going to need a whole lot of work, which I really don't want to get involved in.

I would definitely take my Sunday over that....Man...that's a lot of work....
For what ever reason......me & wood just don't seem to get along. It's always lopesided or too short....I'll do the little stuff, but nothing big like that....

I'm pretty good with baseboard, but when it comes to framing, that ain't my thing. When it comes to trusses that support the roof, that seems like it should be left to a pro. I don't want to be crawling around in the attic and falling through the ceiling with half the sheeting and shingling coming down with me...lol.

OK, back to the still unresolved heater problem. The actuator appears to be working. I took it off the heater housing and operating the heat control, the actuator moves, just like a bar b que spit would fit in it. Here's a part I don't get. Why does it bolt up to the housing and connect to a square on the housing that is designed to not move? It fits on the square and screws down, move the temp cont. and watch it move but there is nothing for it to move. I think I need a pic of the heater housing blow up.

That connects to the shaft of the blend door so it sounds like you have bigger problems with a broken blend door.

The outside of the actuator, the side you can see while bolted up has what looks like notches in it to spin a control rod but there were no parts found when I took it apart.

There should be a foot that slides over the shaft on the other side of the actuator.
This may not be your exact actuator but you get the idea.

Looks like what I have, the side shown screws to heater box. Other side has nothing attached to it, just a hole that something could be inserted in but nothing there or nothing found under the dash.

CH - Are you in trouble missing some parts? I can try at a neat local place to me for "stuff" that you just won't find new for things like that. Place is open picking for cars over 10 +/- years old and great for dinky dumb dash and HVAC stuff, clips, rods all that crap. Weather here a maybe for a another several days then all bets off. They get buried in snow then mud later so it's impossible for a while.
I'll go look for the whole a s s e m b l y for this car if you want. That place will let me - others just pluck away and take just what you need. Just a couple miles away so if I didn't have the tools with me it's easy enough to go back and forth for exact tools needed. Lemme know if in trouble. Only a maybe that an operable unit is there.
BTW - For U junkyard dogs (have been thru necessity for ages) with the pick your own places for electrical crap, bring a couple 9v household batteries (put together in series you get 18v) and jumper clips and you can test out little motors and things!

If that blend door is broken, it's not the part you have to be concerned about. It's the labor it's going to take to access the door itself.
