Is the mode selector switching from vent to vent properly?

That would mean it likely has a restriction in the evaporator itself. Look under the dash and make sure it didn't suck in a plastic bag into the air intake. Pet hair is common also.

Re: hardly any air coming in from heater Sign In

I don't have any pictures but the air intake should be pretty obvious.

Re: hardly any air coming in from heater Sign In

You don't need to take the dash apart. You should be able to see the air intake from under the dash on the passenger side.

Re: hardly any air coming in from heater Sign In

The intake is going to be coming from the firewall side. Some are up on the cowling under the hood on the right side by the windshield...

Since the dash is apart take a real close look at the a/c evap core. I had one years ago that got coated with dirt & leaves and pretty much had the same problem you are describing by plugging the core.....

Re: hardly any air coming in from heater Sign In

ok i found the inlet thing and had the dash all apart, nothing seems to be wrong under there, but what about the entire housing unit where it goes thru the fire wall thats connected to the blower motor housing ? could that have gotten plugged some how ? for some reason my air is being obstructed from the blower motor, it comes out like its on low when i have it on high, i cant seem to figure this out, is that called the heater box ? someone told me maybe something made a nest in the heater box, i need help thanks...........Dennis, Milwaukee

I think you need to take it to a shop.

Try replaceing the cabin filter, it is located under the hood on the passenger side at the air intake..

liltruckjr, please check the accuracy of your info before posting. This car doesn't even have a cabin air filter.

Re: hardly any air coming in from heater Sign In

I'm not a mechanic but I recently had the same problem...air barely coming from the vents. Three separate trips to the mechanic and they couldn't identify the problem. I went to another shop and the guy identified and fixed the problem in about five minutes. When replacing the blower motor, the mechanic had connected the wrong wires together, causing the motor to spin in reverse and suck air thru the vents instead of blowing air out of the vents. Reversed the wires and problem solved. Very strange but a true story. If your mechanic did anything with the blower motor you might have this checked.
