hard start - then engine shut off while driving Sign In

Hi all, my 96 Chrysler has been slow cranking to start for about a week. Then yesterday I am driving and the engine shut off. I tried to start it back up... The first few times got slow cranking again but would start, then nothing after three tries. No crank, no click. Battery tests good, alternator test good.

I have replaced the starter, ignition coil, fuel pump, egr , plugs and wires in the past two years.

Model and engine size? Check engine light on? How did you have the battery tested? What is the charging system voltage with the engine running at the battery terminals?

LHS, 3.5 liter. Check engine light not on. had the battery tested at auto parts store. Engine won't run or turn over at all, can't check running voltage...

Make sure that your battery terminals are free of corrosion and are tight. Put a volt meter on the battery terminals and monitor battery voltage while someone attempts to crank the engine. What does the voltage go when it doesn't want to crank?
