grinding noise on front left hand sid when turning right. Sign In

Hello. ive a problem with my 2001 renault clio alize. 1.4 16v.
when i turn right sharply, a metallic grinding noise comes from the front passenger side of the vehicle. I investigated the problem; replacing the front brake discs and pads. i also checked the CV joint and ball joints for play, all seemed fine however i cannot seem to pinpoint the cause of the problem.

thanks in advance.

Check the hub bearing.

Defective new parts happen. If this was instant with brakes and no service to rotors problem could be there as well. Re-check that work and any anti-rattle clips/items that aren't in proper position,

No, actually that would make it more likely if it wasn't installed correctly and to the proper torque.

I'd be looking closely at the left bearing too as you say it does this when cornering hard right. The weight of the car shifts to the left when you do that. A bad bearing would get louder under heavier load.
