My saturn sl2 96 didn't start last week. It wasn't any electronical failure. The next day, I wanted to tow it to my mechanic but the car decided to start. I took it to my mechanic anyways and he smelled the oil's dipstick, which he smelled gasoline on. He suspected some kind of corrolation with wet weather and this problem but I didn't understand it too well. (He talks to me in Chinese). He told me to just drive the car for a while and it should be fine. What exactly is going on here?

how serious is it and how much would i cost to fix?

Unless you are finding your car too full on the dipstick I don't think that's right. Just test all gas lines with a cold or cool engine by putting you finger on the bottom or all connections for the fuel.

From there I would pull all spark plugs and if one looks different a fuel injector is suspect for that cylinder. If the car doesn't use individual fuel injectors that would not apply. This is one I'd like to see in front of me, T
