I need to help a friend tune up his 2000 chevy impala. I mostly work on classic cars but need to help this guy out. I can change the plugs and oil and anti- freeze but he wants to change the fuel filter. I am thinking that it would be in the fule line somewhere but don't know where. Also is there anything I should know about replacing a fuel filter on a newer car? The car has 80,000 miles on it and has not been tuned since new.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Al

Just watch your eyes. It might have residual pressure left.

The fuel filter is located on the cross member just in front of the fuel tank.
