1988 Ford f 150 302 v8 25000 km will a bad throttle position sensor cause bad fuel mileage.what else will it cause

TPS can cause a hesitation similar to a bad accelerator pump on a carburetor. It can also cause the engine to idle high or run rich if it is showing a voltage higher than normal.
TPS is fairly easy to check with a volt meter to see if it has a problem.
