i have a 04 dodge ram 1500 3.7 ltr. v6 quad cab recently the water pump went out had it replaced by a mechanic.
now when i drive it , it feels like there is a load on the engine. Like the the fan clutch is broken or still engaged and wont release like it supossed to. you know when you drive a honda civic for example when it gets hot the eletric fan kicks on and the sound you get when you drive it , my v6 sounds like that all the time .

It's possible. he could have damaged it taking it off and on.
