I have a 98 nissian maxima. Out of no where i crancked it and put it in reverse and it killed. i cranked it again and waited for it to warm up then it went in drive just fine and when it hit second gear in drive it starts jumpin then it kills. no service engine light.whats wrong? everything was fine when i parked it last night

If it runs fine in park/neutral & only dies gear it's possible it could be tranny related but also check the air hose after the MAF sensor to make sure it's not split or broken. Also get the codes pulled to see if there is any help there
