I never had this problem before the muffler went bad, my other problem is I don't have any money till next week to get a new muffler, so is it going to hurt my truck if I keep driving it till I can fix it next week ? thanks for your help once again,,,,,,Dennis from wisconsin kev2 Veteran Oct 18, 2015, 1:40 PM Post #2 of 5 (1154 views) Re: engine dies Sign In    the muffler should not prevent starting. start with getting the vehicle scanned- its free at many auto parts stores- call ahead and ask. write down any and all codes they find. history, repairs would help get a picture, tell us what your skill level is- can you do basics?
