Search Auto Parts Search cylinder 5 misfire Sign up here!   Email This Post Auto Repair Home>> Automotive Repair>> Car Troubleshooting metulburr User Oct 15, 2017, 11:51 AM Post #1 of 4 (1364 views) cylinder 5 misfire Sign In chrysler Town and County 2005 3.8L engine NY vehicle Check engine light codes currently active: P0507 Idle Cntrl system RPM above expected P0305 Cylinder 5 misfire Things i have tried to fix for the 304 code: i bought a new coil pack and installed it, swapped spark plugs and spark plug wires to see if the misfire would change cylinders and it did not. I checked the Ohms on the cylinder 5 fuel injector and it deemed the same as the others, nothing different showing up. Cleared code between each of these and 30 miles later the code would come back on. Im trying to get this vehicle inspected which requires the check engine light off in NY. I am not sure what possible issues the misfire could else be? Have you done a compression test? Have you check for an injector pulse on #5? If you don't have control, the injector will not work. How about compression?
