car not firing Sign In

I have a 2002 Kia Spectra. It recently started loosing power and stalling upon start in the morning having to be re-started. A week ago it stalled numerous times on start and once started seemed as if it wouldn't stay started long. Upon driving I had major loss of power. I made it safely to my destination then headed straight for Auto Zone. They checked battery and everything electrical, everything was fine. I was told that upon start he could tell the car was not firing on all cylinders. He suggested I change plugs, check wires and ignition coil. I changed plugs, which showed to be very worn. Wires and ignition coil appear to be in working order. As they did not do a code test I do not know what cylinders are not firing nor how many are not firing. Upon returning home I went out several hours later to start the car and the car would not fire. It turns over but I hear no sound that it's even attempting to spark.
Beyond what I have checked what could cause one or more of the cylinders not to fire and what things should I look at?

The "Zone" has its place but there is no diagnosis here except they achieved selling you parts which is what they do. Spark plugs can be telling of some problems.

What is missing, spark (tested) or fuel (pressure tested and injectors noid light checked) not delivered?

Other if those check is compression test,

Exactly how did you come to that conclusion?
