car heat up and dies

I have 1990 chevy lumina.when first started cold runs fine,when it warms up it dies and wont start until it cools down again.I have changed the fuel pump and the map sensor cause I had a code. could the cadalitic converter be clogged? I dont want to keep throwing money at this problem
