Hi..I have an 92 acura intergra that had a sticking door problem. The latch on door panel was "freezing up". Well I made a big mistake of using a screw driver and trying to free up the lack tumbler thing on the door panel...Its on the door itself and when you shut the door it should slide into the latch or hook on the car body itself to shut but it is now frozen in and upright position so when i shut the door it wont slide into its slot but just bangs against the "tummbler" on the car door. It would be so much easier if I knew real car terms in order to explain this but I dont have a guy around now to help me now. Well I made a bigger mistake a looking at the passenger door and tried the same thing and now its lock in the wrong positon also. What a mess! Its almost like the thing on the door panel is sprung or i pushed it to far around and it wont reset in the normal position. Any ideas other than spraying a good oil in it? Sorry for the lack of car terms knowledge. Sally

With the door open you can see the latch. Spray it with WD40 or equivalent and lift up the door handle as if you were opening the door. Hold the door handle up and pop the latch with a screwdriver. It should go to the release position. Now pop the latch down with the screwdriver and repeat process. Keep spraying the lube as you do this until the latch moves freely. Do this to both doors.
