Hello everyone, My ac, power windows and cruise control all stopped working at the same time. Every once in a while it would come back on.
Sometimes I tap on the steering column/block and it kicks backs on but it has since stopped doing that too. I didn't know if this was a power issue since my battery was going dead as a result when I realized my heater (at that time ) would continue to function even when the key was out. I did replace the battery with a new one anyways.
I replaced my ignition switch too after we tinkered around with the ignition and realized we were able to actually turn the ac/ heater on (while the switch was still in the on position) without a key. I have checked the fuses and relays to no answer.
At this point the power windows, AC, and CC still don't work and have not come back on for about 2months now.
*I have had electrical power issues in the past too that include interior lights staying on draining power too.*
Could this be an electronic system failure or some type of module, BCM, ignition type issue? This is killing me. Any advice would be appreciated!

You sure you didn't replace the ignition lock cylinder instead of what you thought was the ignition switch?

I'm glad you know what you are talking about and not me.
You are right it was just the lock cylinder!
I hope this clarification will help out.

Don't worry it happens a lot.
Your symptoms do suggest a bad ignition switch.
Let us know what you find out.
