Wheel stuck on car Sign In

I have a 2010 Dodge Journey RT Front Wheel Drive. I got a flat tire and I am
trying to put the donut on. I jacked the car up and removed the lug nuts, however
the wheel is stuck or maybe even fused onto the wheel housing. I am not
sure what to do here. I tried kicking it to loosen, but I don't want the car
to fall off of the jack. Any suggestions? Is this something that happens often?

The only suggestion I have is to use a safer jack and a harder kick. If you have a heavy hammer, hit the wheel from behind. The heavier the hammer, the less wheel damage you would get. The wheel is stuck around the center hub area. If you have any penetrating oil, spray it around the hub area first.

It happens a lot here but not on a 2010! Can do that to steel or alloy wheels. A heavy rubber hammer will usually get it rocking back and forth, up tilt and FR tilt. PB works best IMO but use it will a spray nozzle and no overspray as it could harm finish of the wheel.

Once off clean of any crust on the center of hub and inspect the wheel as well.

Suggestion: If it has happened to one, bet the others are no better. Once smooth IMO a smear of waterproof grease exaclty there stuck will help.

a 2010 - are you even off warranty with this? That's fast for this problem and as HT said - get a better jack than the junk that comes with the vehicle and still use a safety stand. I'll add to torque lug nuts to spec and if this is that correded I'l bring it up with a dealer - too early for that crap,
