All just recently my vectra 1.9cdti 150 2006 car has lost the ability to rev above 3000rpm and doesnt respond to putting the accelerator down heavy. I have had the EGR valve cleaned and also the manifold cleaned, this didnt solve the problem, the mechanic also blanked it off for a day to see if this helped which it didnt, decided that due to car was significantly overdue a service i changed the oil/fuel/air filters as well as change of oil, although the fuel filter appeared as if it never had been changed before the fault still persists. whilst driving in say 3/4th gear if the ignition is switched off and back on the problem disapears and the car runs as it should but upon dropping the speed/gears down into either 1st or 2nd the fault returns. upon review of various forums it appears the there are a number of things to try all which are at a significant cost, these are :-
air flow sensor
booster sensor (for turbo)
o2 sensor
anyone had such a problem and any of these 3 solved the problem?or can someone give me some advice as the 2 mechanics ive been to are scratching their heads with this one?
