VW Golf Mk3 belt replacement Sign In

Hey all

I lifted the hood of my diesel and saw that the fan belt is ready to snap and went out to get a new one. There are 2 belts on the car and I can't figure out for the life of me how to get the other belt off Crazy. I cannot get to the fan belt unless I remove the other belt. I think its for the power steering. Any ideas dudes / dudettes?!? Wink

The tensioning nut may be tucked into an obscure crevice, or the component it runs has a threaded screw for tension. You will have to loosen the mounting bolt or bolts for this item to allow it to move and back off the adjusting screw. may have to tap the piece a bit to get it to move but it will and then reverse the process for the installation. Not sure of your exact car and engine but thats normally what is involved in a 2 belt system.
