Trying to start Mustang after sitting for a year. Sign In

Hello.
I have a 2000 Ford Mustang, 6 Cyl. 3.8L.
The previous owner had it sitting in a garage for a full year without ever starting it up.
I replaced the battery, now the car turns but does not fire up.
It was working fine before he parked it in the garage a year ago.
What are some troubleshooting steps I should take?
What are some of the most common components that will fail after sitting for a full year?
Any troubleshooting asistance is very much appreciated.

Thank you.

prob bad gas

drain and replace with fresh gas, might take some time to get the fresh gas up to the engine
