So I pulled over, opened the hood, but there was no signs of over heating. No apparent hot smell, no smoke, & nothing felt overly hot. This has happened twice now. Could this somehow be a problem with the thermostat? If you are sure it's not, then you have a gauge problem. Maybe I pulled over before it got hot enough to show real signs of overheating. I didn't let the gauge get into the red, but it was almost there.
