I just replaced the muffler and resonator on my old volvo. The car is much quieter now but there is a strange noise when engine runs around 1000 rpm (at any gear). It is louder inside the car than outside. I will have a look! The car is a 88' 745 volvo (same exhaust used on 740). Both the resonator and muffler are hung under the car with rubber hangers.
