Still hear click sound after a replacement of the worn CV joints Sign In

A 97 Honda Accord had a click sound when the drive wheels are turned. The repair shop has replaced both worn CV joints. But, I still hear the click sound when turn the wheels all the way to either left or right. Before the replacement of the worn CV joints, the click sound could be heard as soon as I turned the vehicle but did not have to turn the wheels all the way to left or right. It seems the repair shop did not do the repair well and may need to make an adjustment. Do you know what the problems look like that can cause the click sound only when the drive wheels are turned all the way to left or right? Please note the worn CV joints have just been replaced. Thank you for your answer.

Comment: I find that many, perhaps most replacement shafts are "re-built" which is replacing the boots and any bad CV joints from a core from usually the same problem - clicking on turns with load while moving.

Highly likely is that if a joint looks ok in the rebuilding process it doesn't get replaced but packed up again, new boot, all cleaned up now for resale. Can't prove a thing but know it's done with other rebuilt items.

It's possible that the diagnosis was wrong or the replacement parts aren't good IMO,

T
