Need to replace the steering rack. The rack seals are leaking and no amount of stop leak is going to fix that.

Book time is 2.9 hrs. DIY time is probably 6 hours or more depending on how much beer you drink and the interruptions from the neighbors.

Unsure alright thanks for the info appreciate it will most likely have to take it into a shop don't have all the tools to do it properly and or a lift so will have to bite the bullet and pay for it.

Unimpressed

Looks like it's just the Boots leaking and no other leaks so repair will be much less about $22 a boot so much better than 150 for the entire rack and pinion set up and should take me alot less time as well to just remove the tie rods and then remove the boots should be a much more manangeable task

Cool

No, no, no. Those boots are dust boots only and should never have any fluid in them. You have a bad rack and pinion, no question.

Ditto. And no more stop leaks of any kind in any part of your car. Do that to your coolant or oil and you won't believe how big the repair cost gets. Fix leaks with parts. If stop leak actually worked parts stores wouldn't waste their time selling anything else.
