Rough idle and fuel in oil

I have a 2002 Duramax engine with a allison tranny in 2500HD truck . Truck has 158000 mile on her . For a while now I could detect at times a miss .Last week on my way home I stopped for something to drink . When I cam out there was oil running down the Damper pulley When I got it home I found there was like 16 or 17 quarts in the pan .So I drained the oil and replaced the oil filter . Started truck went to get fuel injector cleaner . Then went for drive . At first blue smoke and as I drove it lightened up . After about 30 miles smoke went away and truck ran fine . Today on my way home truck started rough at idle . No smoke just rough . I keep reading how these engines have so so fuel injectors and need to refinance the house to replace them . Any ideas or tests I can perform to check things out or do I need to take a dealer or independent garage ? Could a fuel filter cause all this ? Thanks
