Rear Strut Bolt / Lug Stud Broken!

Hello Junkies,
I've run into some problems during my home repairs for my Civic and I'm hoping to get some insight from you guys.
I recently did a wide range of repairs attempting to get my car up to snuff for Maryland Inspections (They inspect EVERYTHING). I was informed that my right rear strut need to be replaced and was quoted $495 to replace it.
I went to do the repair myself and while attempting to remove the bottom strut bolt (The one attached to the lower control arm), the head of the bolt snapped off. For further information, I've included a link of a diagram. The bolt is #17,
link deleted ......... not allowed
Anyways, after some research, it looks like I can use left handed drill bits and a punch to attempt to remove the bolt, but I'm a little weary considering how rusted over the bolt is, the shear size of the bolt and that I risk destroying threads. Any input is greatly appreciated!
As for the lug stud, I know Honda Civics (2001 ex models) are a nightmare for front lug stud replacements, but is there enough room inside the rear brake drums to do a quick hammer and replace method?

P.S. Recent repairs included in case you wanted more info. Parking brake adjustment, front engine mount, both compliance bushings, all four sway bar end links, a front lug stud replacement, wheel bearing replacement and a ball joint replacement.

You've already found out what can go wrong when you attempt to do things that you have no experience in. Before you do a lot more damage I suggest you have it towed to a capable shop for repair.

What I would do is wiz wheel the bottom of the strut off where they weld the strut eyelet that the bolt goes through. Then unbolt the strut from the frame and remove it from the vehicle. Then pull the eyelet off and use lots of penetrating oil on the threads. Then you can probably unscrew what is left of the broken bolt out with a pair of large vise grips.
