Rear-View mirror broke off, glass is cracked Sign In

Hi All, first post here. I am wondering if anyone can provide some tips on the issue I am having.
Recently broke off the rear-view mirror in a 98 Toyota Avalon. I'm pretty sure I could put it back on, but I am wondering about the cracked glass. Is it a safety issue to leave cracked? Is it advisable to replace the entire windshield? I am trying to attach some pictures but am having some difficulties with attachments. Any tips and advice are much appreciated. Thanks!

Your insurance will cover it without a deductible. Just put in a claim and replace it.

Yes you need a new windshield. New one will come with a new button to attach mirror (usually) and might be surprised new 'cloned glass" doesn't cost that much,
