 i have a 93 tempo it sounds like the same thing i havent looked in to it yet,but i think it might be the timing belt .it in the same location as other belt. i,am going to inspcet mine ihave high mileage i know it hasent been replaced
(separated post to its own thread. Was tagged on a 92 Tempo that was a harmonic balancer problem)
