Radiator: transmission cooling lines not needed for manual? Sign In

I am trying to replace the radiator in my '03 Elantra (5-sod manual transmission). The radiator that I ordered has attachments for what I believe are transmission fluid cooling lines (1/4 inch brass fittings at the bottom of radiator). The old radiator doesn't have these. That's normal for a manual transmission right?

Do these brass lines need to be plugged if not used? Airtight? What would work well? or should I order a new part?

Thanks

No, just ignore them.

+1 To HT. If there are plastic plugs in the openings, which there usually are on a new rad, I just leave them in there.
