If I was getting a shimmy in the steering wheel when the brakes are applied that would mean that the problem is in the front. I am getting pulsation in the brake petal, no shimmy in the steering wheel. How true is this? Thanks. You can lightly engage the parking brake to see if the vibration is coming from the rear on drum brake applications. If I lightly engage the parking brake should I drive the car and try the brakes with the parking brake engaged. If the vibration is coming from the rear brakes, you should feel it in the handle. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
