Possible electrical problem ( or alternator ) Sign In

I have the following problems with my Golf 1.6 FSI which just occurred last week.
1. Slip indicator appears on dash - i base the symbols on this link: link deleted......... not allowed
2. Front airbag symbol appears.

3. Window wipers have stopped working

4. Central locking requires 2 hits on the remote to open the doors.

Anyone got a clue?

Anything involving air bags needs to go to the dealer, especially involving DIC lights.

The problem is that the dealer didnt know what the problem was and wanted to charge £150 (at least - 2 hours = £75 each) just to figure out what the problem is ( even after i gave £40 for them to do an initial investigation).

Sorry, but that's how diagnostics work. It takes a lot of time and equipment to track down the source of the problem and they have to be paid for their time and investments.
