Peugeot 3008 Knocking, drop link noise ?

Hello i have a Peugeot 3008 that is making a knocking noise over even the smallest of bumps, i have had a look underneath and there is play on the drivers side droplink and it knocks when shaking, but stops when putting tension around the drop link joint so pretty sure its the cause,sorry bit of a car novice but is this likley the problem?

Seems like a pretty silly question. If the link is worn out and full of play, of course it can make noise. Fix it and find out.
