Look for 'whiteish' corrosion. It is very common. Too much resistance in the wires can damage the module. Also, check the inside of the cap for moisture and carbon tracking. Crank the engine over. If the noid light does not flash, replace pickup inside distributor. If the noid light flashes, try a new coil. Reason: We know you have no spark. If you also have no injector pulse, suspect a missing tach signal. That is the signal produced by the pickup. If you have injector pulse, check the coil. You may also have a burned rotor or a bad cap.
