Kinda new for me to have direct knowledge of where. Found what type it is and it would be in a metal permanent container if this is correct? Filter looks like this......... By style only, that type would have a hard shell and either whole shell turns or perhaps a long bolt goes thru. Either way, before you get going get a filter and see if instructions are in with packaging which if like I suspect will also have an "O" ring with it for a seal. Guess at to what it could look like........ It's possible for this to be remotely mounted and not on the engine block. Too new for me but the idea is old as the hills - that is for sure as I own one in a 1948! T

It's cartridge type and it accessed from the top ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

take care in removing this as it is a plastic top on the housing and easily damaged without the proper socket

Thx Tom, it took me and the wife a second to find it, but we did and all is well!!! We weren't trying to pay 32.00 for an oil change and we changed the oil life for the computer. I'm happy with the results!!!!

Thx Hammertime, I found it... I just figured it should be where all the rest of my oil filters usually were, but they went and changed it, I actually like being able to access it from the top--- piece of cake and I reset the oil life. Thx for taking the time
