Need to change fuel filter? Sign In

My friend has a 2003 maxima 120k and he asked me to change the fuel filter. Problem is, is that the fuel filter for this vehicle is attached to the pump in the gas tank. Postings online say it takes anywhere from 1 to 4 hours for someone with approx my skill set to swap it out. The question I have is, is it really worth it to change it? thanks

If you are worried about your skills to do this I'd pass and let the pros do it and explain to your friend it's just a bit much for you. I don't know where they find engineers to do that in tank filter trick but it's mean! There are some other vehicles that do that tooMad

This is not considered a maintenance item on that car is not not usually changed routinely.
