Sign In I have a 1998 Honda CRV. It had a slow leak in the back tire and I took it into to Firestone to get 2 new tires put on the back of the car. Immediately after I left the tire store my car bounced as I drove. I mean my car bounces (up and down, not a vibration)! I feel like a bobble-head doll when I drive now! I checked and set all four tires to proper air pressure - no difference. I took it back and they balanced the front tires but it still bounces. He told me my struts are bad. I can't believe my struts went so bad within the hour that my car was in the shop. Do you know what else could be wrong with my car? Sign In Interesting description! Hmmmm - does it bounce if you just bounce the car while just sitting there and keep moving up and down? What speeds and road condition will allow this? Sign In It could be that a low tire might absorb any shock of a broken strut; a strut could have been broken but the tire being low did absorbed the added bounce.
