Motor oil leak into engine coolant - vehicle runs Sign In

I have a 1996 Saturn SC1;L4;1.9L;SOHC engine that is leaking motor oil into engine coolant. Vehicle still runs

They have a known problem with engine oil coolers leaking and it's quite a job to replace it.

Google "Saturn oil cooler" and you should get a lot of info on it.

That's on the 3.0L.

Could be the transmission cooler is leaking inside the radiator.

In that case that would be the other known problem of cracking heads in the 4 cyl. I believe it happens to both SOHC and DOHC models.

Owned one of those years back. Heads are garbage castings. Crack for nothing and do this. Only fix is an aftermarket casting. I had an SOHC and found one for about $500 complete.
