Montero 2001 XLS ABS Problem (Grinding/Scraping Noise)

Greetings everyone, last week my 2001 montero started to act up. I'm trying to diagnose this problem my self and get some advice from the some knowledgable montero owners, and rather than me describing the problem in detail, briefly I will let you know that the noise occurs when I first step on the brake pedal, once brake is held firm for example a red light the noise goes away, on the other hand, driving is as smooth as can be, but as soon as i put my foot on the brake the grinding and scraping noise comes back and here's a link to a video I made of what the problem sounds like, please if you know what this is your advice on going about fixing it without shelling out tons of money would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.

Your whole post makes no sense at all. One minute you have a noise when applying the brake and the next minute you are showing a video of a truck sitting still with a bunch of kids giggling.

If you listen closely to the video, there is a noise, I understand that the beginning had some giggles in it. But you can hear the noise if your volume is high enough.

What does a starter cranking have to do with brake noise?

it's not starter cranking, it's noise when I am pressing on the brake pedal, which sounds like starter cranking.

For what ever reason your ABS system is activating when you just push the pedal, obviously something it shouldn't do. The noise is coming from the ABS unit.
Unless you have the proper equipment there & are familar with the system you will need to take it in to be diagnosed...

The car moves, and it drives fine, but when I brake the noise in the video occurs, and goes away once brake pedal is held firm.
