Misfire Sign In

I have a 2004 Impala 3.4 that I have changed the plugs & wires.

When the engine is cold it starts well and idles smoothly.

Once it warms up the idle is rough and I get the P0300 code again.

Any ideas?

TIA.

Re: Misfire Sign In

P0300 is a random misfire code. The code doesn't point to any particular cylinder. Without knowing which cylinder(s) are skipping, you won't have any direction. Your going to have to take it to a shop that can access the misfire current and history information using a high end scan tool to determine which cylinders are skipping. Once you have that information you can focus on those cylinder and determine the reason for the misfires.
