Mazda coil problems

My 1986 mazda B2000 4cyl with 120,000. The truck just quite running. Engine turns over but will not start and there was no spark at coil. Replaced the coil still no spark where do I go from here? The replacement coil brochure hinted about a resistor on the firewall could also be a problem but I am not sure what exactly I am looking for. Thanks

It would be best to start out with the basics on this one.
1st check all your fuses to make sure they're good. Then get at test light and see if you have power at the + of the coil, if you do put the test light on the - terminal, crank the engine & see if the light blinks.....
After that we're gonna have to find an old phart somewhere around here to help us out,cuz I can't even remember the last time I worked on one of these systems.....
